In the dynamic landscape of maritime logistics, the synergy between companies can be the catalyst for innovation and growth. Our collaboration with local ship building business, Cammell Laird, exemplifies this ethos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our journey with Cammell Laird began with the initial fabrication of a single Marine Mooring Dolphin in 2022, a successful venture which has led to us recently awarding Cammell Laird a further \u00a32million contract to procure an additional two Marine Mooring Dolphins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The additional set of Marine mooring Dolphins will form a vital component of our Tranmere mooring configuration and will float at 3 metres in height (2 meters below the water level) and 7.5 meters in width, weighing a substantial 75 metric tonnes. The impressive structures will provide stability for tankers during berthing, allowing them to move seamlessly with the ebb and flow of the tide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For us, what truly sets this collaboration apart is not only the technical expertise brought by Cammell Laird, but also our joint commitment to the local community and workforce development. Cammell Laird has recently taken on nearly 150 apprentices across various disciplines, ranging from shop fabrication and engineering to human resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With our continued commitment to employing apprentices, what\u2019s exciting is that a portion of Cammell Laird\u2019s apprentices will be actively involved in supporting the Marine Mooring Dolphin project. This dual commitment to project excellence and fostering the next generation of industry professionals reflects a truly forward-thinking approach to the future of our industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the Marine Dolphin project progresses, our hope it that this partnership with Cammell Laird will demonstrate how working closely with local businesses can lead to not only technological innovation, but also the ongoing cultivation of a skilled workforce for the future and a buoyant local economy.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
